Issues getting party/game invites

i've had this issue for the past 12 weeks. I estimate 90-95% of game or party invites do not come through to me. Very rarely they make it through. I've asked people to send me invites non stop which does work sometimes. I know i am not recieving them because
people ask me if i am joining when i have received nothing. 2 years this has not been a problem until 12 weeks ago. These are invites NOT from my friends. I can join friends' games and parties with no issues. I can invite friends and poeple not on my friends
list with no issues at all. I am just NOT getting the majority of game or party invites from gamers NOT on my friends list. I'ved watched streamers invite me and my xbox did not receive them!

This started around the time the "messages" section on the xbox website changed. That page has not worked for me at all the past 12 weeks whether i use phone, tablet, labtop. Work wifi, 3g, home wifi same issue. Not sure if this is related.

I worked with support a few weeks ago. We reset my xbox in settings to default. We removed my acccount and brought back. Numerous 10 second power downs. We checked my xbox website profile and xbox settings. I have ensured my NAT TYPE IS OPEN the past 12
weeks. It was strict for 2 years when i had NO issues!! My internet provider shows no issues on their side. Any help is appreciated since i keep hoping this goes away but 12 weeks and still nothing...

Game/Party Invite Issues

I have not been able to receive party or game invites for several days now. I've have had no issues until recently and would love any advice you all have. Here are the things I've tried so far.

NAT Type = Open with appropriate port forwarding (I sent this up several months ago)

Console Power Cycle = check, I power cycle/clear cache on the console every few days

Router Power Cycle = check, similar as above

Connection = hard wired

I am able to send/receive messages and some notifications. I can also join parties/games started by anyone in my friends list. It appears that others are receiving party invites when I send them, but game invites are hit and miss...

I'm completely stumped here, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Game/Party Invite Issues

I'm sorry to see any issues with receiving game/party invites. We've seen a few people complaining about this, particularly Destiny players. I see on your public profile that you are a connoisseur of the game, so it's likely you're running into the similar
issues.

One thing I've noticed with others is that they are having issues with xbox.com messaging. If you log into several browsers for Xbox Live messages, do you receive any errors or just not loading messages? I'm trying to see if they might be related.

If you can load your messages just fine, can you post back with your detailed network statistics? You can get these by going to Settings > All settings > Network > Network settings > Detailed network statistics. I want to ensure there's
nothing there that could be blocking this.

We've seen this crop up for some people occasionally. Can you try changing something on your avatar and saving it and seeing if that helps at all? That is an absolute long shot but doing that sort of refreshes your profile and it's worth trying at least.
If that doesn't work, you'll want to reach out to our
phone or chat teams for further assistance. If they aren't able to resolve the issue, you can ask them to escalate your issue. If the agent can't or won't, or the issue isn't resolved, post back with a reference number from that conversation and we'll see
what we can do from our side.

Am also having this issue since the update. Cannot join parties, cannot invite people to party i've started either. Error message, 'can't connect to xbox live party'. Can join game invite and can invite people to game without any issues. Will try the above
when I get home, fingers crossed.

I'm having the same issue. No longer get notifications when a friend comes online, no party invites or game invites, nothing. Hope it gets fixed soon.

That solved my party invite issue but my game invites aren't sending.

Hey Friend! My names Keyonna and I am an Xbox Ambassador and I'll be glad to help you out!

Here are a couple things you could do:

1. With the console on, press and hold the Xbox button until you see 3 options. If you see the 3 options, go to restart console. This will not clean any data out at all.

Try again and see if that resloved the issue.

If that doesn't work, please follow these steps to factory reset while keeping all games and apps. This requires your account login after the reset is done because this will remove almost everything:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
3. Select Reset console.
4. On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and keep my games & apps.
5. After you select "Reset and keep my games and apps" Your Xbox console will begin the process of erasing the selected content and resetting itself to the default settings.
