Issues error messages Xbox One functions not working properly. Here is a solution

Hello everyone

I wanna share a very important thing you should do when your going to buy a Xbox one. Or when you have Xbox one already and have Issues.

Part 1 : Story

I was very happy when i got my Xbox One X it started up nicely. And i was guided nicely how to set up the Xbox one X.

When the setup part was done i started to download apps and games. this is when the problems came.

I got alot of error messages. And functions that where not working. For example Sign in issues. Xbox 360 and Xbox One games that wont startup. Apps that wont work or startup. And also noticed that fuctions where missing like Freesync. And Dolby Vision
HDR And other functions. And that Xbox One interface in the settings menu was very diffrent then when i have now. I thought i really had a very broken Xbox One X. The error message was always something went wrong without explaining what was going on.

Part 2 : What i tried

I couldnt find anything weird in my Xbox One X

checked the network connection. My Nat type was Open.

The Xbox One X also was updated to the latest version. And showed me that there was no other update available.

So to make sure it was updated to the latest version. So i also tried the USB stick Offline update methode.

Also tried to search on the internet about what those error messages codes mean. And tried few things. But no solution to my problems i have with my Xbox One X.

Part 3 : The solution

I went to the Xbox Support and chat with a Microsoft Xbox expert July A.

He said to me did you check your router if the ports are open or closed that are needed for Xbox Live.

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

So i opened those ports in my router. And restarted my router. And my Xbox One X.

And when my Xbox One X started up. it started to update itself. And everything worked again.

So i strongly recommend to open those ports on your router.

Part 4 : The End

Now i can do everything with Xbox One X what is supposed to do.

I can now happly game with my Xbox One X
