Issues downloading on Windows 10 App Store, Halo Wars and increasing download size.

Hi guys;

Have an issue here, Tech Support haven't really been too helpful so I'm hoping someone has a solution, although I have seen a few of this issue with no fix..

I am trying to download Halo Wars on PC, I've got it, and when it finishes downloading it 'finishes', and then increases in size, and starts again.

It is ~9GB, then it increased to 10, then 11, and now it is on 16GB, doing the same thing of 'finishing' then starting again.

My Net speed is ~120K so it takes a bloody age to get it anyway, so I'm loathe to hear ' just restart it', which I've done 3 times before. I have reset the XBOX App, this is the 4th restart, so I'm not sure what else to do.

I'm hoping someone knows otherwise I guess I'll have to harass the guys into a refund and get it via Steam, which is a shame as I got the Ultimate Edition.

Any ideas guys?

Halo Wars 2 Ultimate - can´t download HW DE on Windows 10

Hey there,

If you see Halo Wars: Definitive Edition in your game library within the Windows Store, that indicates you already own it and a code is not needed. Are you able to try downloading the game through the 'Halo app' on Windows 10? Click the controller icon within
the Halo app and let us know if you can install the game through there. Additionally, do any specific errors pop up if you try to download the game directly from its store listing on the Windows Store?

Does this
Halo Wars: Definitive Edition page give you the option to download the game? If it does, try selecting the download option and then check the 'My library' section of the Windows Store app on your Windows 10 PC. Ensure you are signed into the Xbox Live account
that you redeemed the code on to have that option.

It says
here on the Microsoft Store that Halo Wars 2 is about a 30GB download.

With the Ultimate Edition, you're getting the Season Pass DLC and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition (~9GB), making this
over a 40GB download in total.

The "finished" parts you see are probably the smaller items getting downloaded first. Allow the game to fully download without interruption.

 

I assumed this too at first, but they download as separate objects. The pass, then 1 and 2. They have their own space in the queue
