    Issues downloading new game pass game on storefront


    I attempted to download steep because it is free with game pass however after pressing A on install hearing an audible click and nothing happens. I found that if i tried to download it on the game pass app instead of the storefront it would work after some tries.

    However it also just seems like the storefront servers are not responding well today because even after the download was initiated and Ethernet is confirmed to have 200+mbs download never started till 10 minutes later as I'm actually writing this. I also couldn't figure out how to record on Xbox while not in a game to show a clip of it happening.

    Some things i tried before i found this: Reset console on console Hard reset holding down power button on console and unplugging from outlet for 2 minutes before reconnecting

    Sorry for the long post i only hope it may help save someone else if they seem to run into this.

    TL;DR if you have issues downloading a game pass game try the game pass app instead of the storefront and be patient

    It's not a question about the storefront though. It involves the storefront but the query is about possible enforcement action from XBLPET being taken against accounts for unwittingly downloading something from the storefront that was dodgy.

    With the new call of duty app the storefront is ontop and you have to scroll down to your game and campaign oe multiplayer

    Some of the big ones are Sea of Thieves, Rainbow Six: Siege, Elder Scrolls Online, Ark, GreedFall, etc.

    There many options aside from just going for what is mainstream. Having a gaming PC also allows you to download emulators and try a few old games you missed. I also recommend checking the Steam storefront and seeing what games are new and trending. A good
    idea since you are on here is to subscribe to Game Pass PC if you haven't already. It's only $5 a month and you get access to a lot of great PC titles.

    Yes - downloaded games aren't working on my XBOX (I'm getting the same error as the OP with all my digital purchases) and the storefront is broken.
