    Issues downloading Gold game


    Hello everyone,

    I'm trying to download Thief since it's free for Gold members right now. Unfortunately it's asking me to add a credit card, I've not had to do this when downloading games with gold in the past and I don't plan to do it now.

    Can anyone help me overcome this hurdle?

    Also, when I try to chat with microsoft it automatically gives me a weird email address and prevents me from entering my first and last name.

    As long as your account region matches your actual region which is required to download games for gold promotional games

    You should have no issues downloading it

    Help me urgently !!!!!!!

    Your account,billing & actual location must all be the same or you will have issues downloading games for gold & several other things as well.

    Are you trying this via the Xbox One console or
    http://store.xbox.com/     ? If one, try the other and let us know how you get on.

    @Maxen13 Good thought, but I'm afraid neither work, both on the Xbox One console and via the Xbox store they ask me for a credit card number. I've never encountered this before today

    why do you assume it's a connection error??? The game is already downloaded.......

    Maybe the file is corrupted or the HDD is full........ Indeed some of the Gold member free to play games can take many HOURS to download updates for...

    If your billing info is gibralltar then it has to bechanged to Spain contact Xbox support in your region

    gilbralltar billing info wouldn't be accepted under Spain
