Issues connecting to Monitor

Hi, recently when I wanted to connect my Xbox 360 E-Slim to my computer I had my HDMI, Power Source, and A/V connected but every time I boot up my 360 nothing would happen on the screen. Is there an issue with my E-Slim or computer. My computer is an (
All in one computer) and it runs off Windows 10.

I recently bought a asus monitor with only a VGA port and I'm wondering if I should get a VGA to Xbox cable or a hdmi to VGA cable which ever one keeps the quality more high definition any suggestions would be helpflu or a new option that could get me even
better quality my prove range is 20$ and under

I'm guessing then you would connect the Xbone to the monitor through HDMI, and assuming your monitor does not have sound, you then connect the monitor to your speakers .

Are you sure your HDMI port supports input? Most HDMI ports on All in Ones and Laptops are almost always outputs for connecting extra displays. I would check your PC manual to see what functions the HDMI port is capable of.

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue with the display. If you have already connected a different console to the same monitor and you are still experiencing the same issue, then it is possible that the Monitor is the problem. I would advise contacting

Philips Support to see if they can provide troubleshooting for this issue.

I would advise attempting to connect to a different monitor as well to make sure that it is not experiencing the same display issue on different monitors.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue connecting your Xbox One to a Monitor via VGA and HDMI. Are you using any kind of adapters when connecting your console to the monitor? Sometimes, video converter/adapters can cause issues
with displaying picture to a monitor.

This could be a compatibility issue with the TV or monitor, and you may have been avoiding that issue by letting the HDMI switch handle the output instead. I've seen similar issues with some TV's and Monitors before, it's rather difficult to troubleshoot and find the exact cause.

Did your Xbox ever work when directly connected to the TV or monitor? Or has it always been connected to the switch?
