Issues after the Febuary Update

Hello all,

It would appear after searching for ages that there is no support area for the Febuary update. If there is a link please post it up and I will request this links closed. I have had a number of issues post update, therefore I am putting up this post to hold
all of these. If you have an issue not documented Please post it here under a bullet point. If you have a variance on what has been posted, start the post with the related issue noted first, then detail your variance.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not let any part of this descend into bashing. It is pointless.

Issues I have seen so far are:

• Kinect Voice commands
  • Much less reliable, across all commands. when it starts to work however it is ok
    
• Black Screen

• When using the xBox button, I randomly get black screen and need to pull the plug to get it to work
  

Xbox Moderators, for future releases can a simple mechanism like this be used to document and feedback on issues. No matter how much testing you do, it is inevitable, that you will from time to time get issues, we understand

the febuary update fail

i have the old xbox elite, 120gd hdd. after i went to download the February update it would not download, the message ' could not process update' and 'status code : 396B - 397D - 1380 - 0730 - C000 - 0099

i have tried all the help that people have been offering, i first deleted my profile and then i cleared my cache and formatted my xbox again but still it can not process the update so now i am stuck with not being able to connect to xbox live and no profile
either. please help because this is ridiculous

Hey there Sage! I'm understand you are having issues updating your console. After checking out your error code, I have found this information:

This error occurs if your console has been tampered with or modified. Your console can no longer connect to Xbox LIVE, install software updates, or play new games that require a console software update.

Physically disconnect your network cable or remove your Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter from the console.

You can use the following steps to turn off the automatic sign-in so that you can play games offline. To turn off auto sign-in:

1. Restart your console.
2. Select No if you are prompted to update your console software.
3. Press the Guide button on your controller.
4. Go to Settings, and then select Profile.
5. Select Sign-in Preferences.
6. Set Profile Auto Sign-in to Off.
7. Press the B button on your controller to return to the Xbox Dashboard.
   

Your console can now play your existing games offline. Any future attempts to sign into Xbox LIVE or update your console software will result in an error.

Agreed, a sticky thread at the top of this forum or a sub forum for each system update with a title like "February Update Feedback and Issue Reports" or similar would benefit Microsoft and players if all feedback and issues were kept to one thread like this
one you have started.
