    Issue with Xbox MyService Site


    Hello all,

    When attempting to look at my hardware on the Device Manager section of the
    http://myservice.xbox.com     site I get the following error:

    Sorry, we are unable to process your request at this time.

    • An error occurred. Please try again.
    Anyone else ran into this and know of a fix? There's no section of this forum to report issues with the sites it seems...so I'm having to post it here.

    Wow, it works under the myservice post. Thank you iNb4, really appreciate that. Was using the microsoft site.

    My Xbox disc reader has broken.

    Hi Razor,

    sounds like support might have meant you can book your repair online via the
    MyService     part of the site.

    What information are you looking for??? Can you not just use the console itself to view hardware info???

    I was just wanting to look at the service site, since I hadn't peeked at it in a while. I was expecting to see warranty details and various other product information for my devices. (I have 5 devices so I occasionally check in to make sure everything is
    still showing correctly for warranties and such)

    I've tried IE11 on Windows 8.1, IE11 on Windows RT, IE11 on Windows Phone, Firefox 31 & 32 on Win 8.1, & Chrome 37 on Windows 8.1.

    Also even though I can see some details from the console itself; it's always good to mention when something on the site isn't working as expected.

    As for how long it's been this way, I'm not sure. I just snagged the Xbox One about a week ago and when checking the site to see the details I happened to spot the issue.

    Hello WoodlandCross7.

    I faced the same problem and contacted an Xbox Ambassador via chat. He (or she) told me that it is only consoles that can be registered, not hand controllers.

    As you say; the manual and also the support-pages refers to the Myservice web site. Seems like Microsoft can't agree with themselves in this matter.

    (The ambassador is not an Microsoft/Xbox employee.)
