    Issue with xbox headsets, with two players on SAME console.


    Dear all,

    I am having some Xbox headset issues, when playing a two player game on the same console, with two separate headsets.

    For context, me and my brother cooperatively play Halo MCC. I have the Xbox live gold account, and he plays as a guest(1). Now we stream it on Mixer using the inbuilt mixer app.

    However, I have noticed recently, my brothers headset microphone works as guest(1), but weirdly my headset microphone doesnt (I make no sound).

    So, my brother just got a Xbox account, so that we tried with my gold account and his regular account (same xbox one console).

    Then, my microphone headset works, but his one does not.

    Can someone please help with this bizarre matter.

    Can two separate headsets be used on the same console?

    Two headsets can be used on the same console, but both headsets will play the same game audio. Each player will need to log into Xbox LIVE chat separately. Each player will need his/her own Xbox controller. However, the two players cannot talk to one another.

    That should work. I've played Halo: Reach on a setup with two players on the same console using two Xbox controllers with wired headsets and we were able to chat during game play on line. Have you tried it with other games?

    The same problem has happened to me. One user might use the headset and one only. If you tried using two headsets into two different controllers, it won't work. I've tried to do the same when I first got mine with my cousin.

    Example; If Player 1 has the headset in and is talking perfectly fine, Player 2 cannot use the other headset and speak to the other users as well. It must be into one controller, (the one that is signed into Xbox Live).

    Im sorry, but you can't play with two controllers on the same xbox.

    Certain games, such as UNO, are not same system compatible. Particularly, card games and board games. Think of it like playing poker if the other person can see your cards.
