    Issue with Xbox/Destiny2/Beyond Light campaign


    I bought the Destiny2: Beyond Light DLC, and I've bought every season since they started charging for seasonal DLC. Though I have game pass, I have purchased 99% of my Destiny content through in-game menus. Now, suddenly, after buying and downloading the Bungie 30th anniversary Destiny2 DLC pack, Xbox no longer recognizes the Beyond Light DLC as bought. It keeps showing me ads for it, and the abilities I unlocked during that season can't be used anymore, which cripples my character's strategic options. I know other people are experiencing this issue? Please fix it or tell me how to?

    And before you go there, this IS NOT Bungie's problem. Other gamers are experiencing this issue, and Bungie has responded in their online forums. They have no access to licensing or info about purchases made on the Xbox platform, so they can't fix this. They may be able to prove that I played through the content (which tacitly implies that I owned it), but they have no record of a purchase per se.

    Hi there Nathan welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Well, this known issue has a few solutions, first completely uninstall the game, then do this:

    Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

    Settings.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Allow the console to restart when prompted.

    Afterwards try downloading the game and the DLC, (if the Xbox doesn't recognize the DLC as purchased try installing it through the Xbox app) then try running the game.

    Well, I suggest you try this:

    Open the Settings app it is the gear in the start menu.

    Open Accounts

    Click Sign-in Options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

    Restart your PC!

    OK, I did all that you asked, with the exception of the app, because just like on my Xbox library menu, Destiny2 is the only game mentioned and the various seasons are not available.

    It didn't work. Still can't run BL bounties or missions, still can't access Stasis powers.

    Riddle me this: Why can't someone in Xbox customer service just look up my purchase of the DLC and simply restore my licence? I'm not jumping through any more hoops until I get an answer to this question. I was mad that this happened, now I'm furious. I paid good money for this, and suddenly Microsoft seems to think that it's MY JOB to go through the motions of fixing it.

    Xbox glitched me out of content that I paid for. Why would reinstalling the game even have anything to do with that? PLEASE get someone in billing/purchases involved in this chat. I'm not reinstalling or resetting anything until that happens.

    Yes, I agree, this is the way it should work.

    But this is not the Case for Destiny - Beyond light.

    Even it is home console and profile logged in, no other profile can play the Beyond light campaign.

    It always states that it has to be purchased.
