    hi

    i have a small issue with a game that i recently purchased.

    the game is Watchdog 2 but my biggest issue is with support.

    here is the situation:

    when i play the game Xbox live is showing me as playing NBA 2K17 (witch is a issue for me as i am not a fan of sports games and my friend keeps asking me to play this game
    witch i don't play/own) but steam is showing me as playing Watchdog 2 on my steam social. now when i tried to report this, i first contacted Ubisoft (the Dev who created the game) and was dismissed and directed to steam support because i purchased the game
    on steam, but steam support directed me back to Ubisoft support since i had no issue related to the steam platform regarding this game (on steam it show Watchdog 2 on my steam social) so i re-opened my ticket with Ubisoft and told them that i was directed
    back to them since my issue was on Xbox live side, then i was again dismissed and redirected to Xbox support witch only offers me Community support when i try to contact an agent to report the issue.

    • i reinstalled the game
    • i have reset/reinstalled the Xbox app and Game bar
    • disconnected/reconnected my Xbox live account
    • made sure my PC was updated
    • verified windows file integrity (with both DISM and SFC)

    and another issue i am currently having is not about the game itself (since it is a minor issue since all it does is show the wrong title) but with support throwing me left and right and having all concerned party's ether denying
    responsibility or telling me to ask random strangers(''community support'') to fix something that is the responsibility of at least 1 of the concerned party dev team to fix, that being ether Microsoft, Ubisoft and/or Steam is what concern's me.

    I would just wait this issue out for a while. I find that sometimes calling support will just frustrate you more and more and get nothing really accomplished. Usually when Microsoft or Stream release updates it could fix an issue that may be linked to
    your displayed game.

    This seems more like something that should be in the discussions forums instead of questions. You know the issue and you’ve done everything you can to try and fix it. Unfortunately I don’t think there really is anything you can do but just tell your friend
    you don’t play that game. Is there someone else in your house that does play it? They may have logged in and not closed that game and it could be affecting what is shown.

    Customer Support is often frustrating. Yes, that is a discussion item. And yes, it depends on the individuals one is in contact with. Letting Microsoft, Steam and Ubisoft know you are dissatisfied with their support is the only way they can learn to improve.

    As for the problem itself, the actual application has a description. You can view it by right-clicking the game icon in Steam (since that is where you purchased it), and select Properties. There go to the Local Files tab and click Browse Local Files. From
    there you can right-click on the game executable and select properties and go to the Details tab. From there you will see more than just the file name. A hint for the problem might be there.

    The next place to look is the link you established to the Xbox Console, which is based on your Start Menu link. Again using right-click and Properties, gather the Details listed there.

    From your description you contacted Ubisoft and Steam Support.

    However, the error seems to happen in the Xbox App that broadcasts your game status to Xbox Live.

    Are you using the Beta version of the Xbox App (in order to use Game Pass for PC)? If so, this might be a Beta issue of the Xbox App.

    You should be able to file feedback in the Xbox (Beta) app and make them aware of the issue.

    You're getting ping-ponged from Ubisoft to Steam and back, because both platforms are working as intended.

    It's probably the Xbox App acting up, and you need to make the Xbox Engineers aware of the issue, by providing Feedback within the app.
