Issue with Using My Friend's Old Account

So my cousin recently got a PS4 and traded in his 360 to do so, so his Xbox Live is now inactive. I wanted to download the games that he had downloaded to play them but I didn't know about transferring content licenses. I had downloaded Skyrim and attempted
to play that when the common error message popped up. But then when I signed into my cousin's account my Xbox froze and restarted. Now every time I try to access his account on my console to transfer the content license of some of his games, my Xbox freezes
and restarts within seconds. I tried redownloading his profile and deleting the game with no results. I can use my account on my console but not his. Any suggestions?

My xbox won't read a specific game?

You could try using the disc and account on a friend's console. If it works there then dollars to donuts it's an issue with your console. If not try the disc with the friend's account, if the matchmaking works then I think it'd be safe to assume there's
an issue with your GT.

Party overlay

Yesterday, was playing online with a friend using in game voice chat. I had party overlay off. Upon finishing our game, I closed out of the game and logged out of my Xbox account. Powered down my Xbox via controller. Ten minutes later my son logged in to HIS Xbox account. In the upper left corner, the party overlay was on. My friends gamertag was listed. My son and my friend have never been friends on the Xbox. It would not go away. I logged back into my account, deleted our friendship, even blocked my friend. Still nothing! My son and I are not friends on Xbox. I called my friend, he logged off and turned his Xbox off, still nothing. I did a power cycle restart via the Xbox button on the Xbox. That took care of the issue. Any suggestions so I do not have to go through all that Everytime I play? Anyone else have this issue?

using another user's account is not allowed it is best to remove it and just use your own.

having the same issue, on windows 10, with an old bethesda account.

My friend with windows11 does not have the issue, he has a fresh bethesta account

it is very likely that if the friend's old account was hacked that whoever did it would send messages to everyone on the account's friends list.

in your post you say that it is the friend's "old account". is the friend using a different new account now because their original account was hacked? if this is the case then it I would say that it is definitely the hacker using the account to send offensive
messages rather than risking getting their own account banned
