    Issue with the a button not responding normally while on homepage.


    I recently discovered that the a button is responding immediately as usual, and it seems to be just taking a couple of seconds for it to register. In game there aren't any issues. After you push it the tile that is selected is showing that something is happening.
    I was just wondering if it is the xbox or my controller. I was also wondering if there have been any issues with heat. My fps drops while playing some games.

    hi, the ‘a’ button has stopped working on my controller. Sent it back to where we got it and they sent out another controller. Still not working. Then been and bought a brand new wired controller and still not working. Sons really upset. Please someone,
    help!?!?!

    Issue with the a button not responding normally while on homepage.

    It could be because of leaving a game running in the background. Sometimes when hitting the home button while a game is active responses on the home screen could take a bit longer.

    XBOX ONE occasionally stops responding to selective INPUT from any kind of control device

    If you very lightly depress the A button, and slowly move it around, as if it was a joy stick, it will go into a game, and if you return to the menu, it should work as normal. While you hold the button down, it will respond as if you have a rapid fire controller
    when this issue arrives. Reseting the console and/or unplugging it doesn't solve the problem.

    Have you ever hard rebooted your xbox since setting it up? There appears to be a memory leak issue and the hard reboot clears it.

    While the XB1 is powered on, hold (touch) the power button for 5-10 second until it turns off. Give it a few seconds then press the power button to turn it on. The boot will take a little longer than the normal 'wakeup' startup time, but the memory will
    be cleared and the entire system will respond much better.

    As far as I'm aware the New Experience Dashboard is only available to select consoles enrolled in a Xbox Insider preview OS. You would have to unenroll the console from the preview. Use the Insider Hub to unenroll. The General Available OS will be installed once you leave the preview.
