  1. Issue with Teredo Adapter

After a windows update the Teredo adapter suddenly stopped working again. I cant find it under device manager and on my xbox app it says Nat Type Blocked. I tried a few things I found online to fix it but nothing works, I am literally unable to play online like this. Any suggestions on what I could try to fix it ?

    :)

how to fix XBOX Windows: Teredo is unable to qualify ?

    Hi MORIFUY,

Probably Teredo Adapter is disabled, pelase run this command to see if it is disabled.

    netsh interface Teredo show state

    To re-enable the Teredo adapter:

Right-click the Start icon, and then select Command Prompt (Admin).

Run the following command from the Admin command prompt:

netsh interface Teredo set state type=default

Note The Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter will reinstall automatically. Don’t install the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface adapter manually in Device Manager, as this may cause issues with Teredo functionality.

    Best Regards,

    Angel.

    Teredo is unable to qualify

Teredo is a networking protocol that’s used to establish secure communications between clients and servers, and to facilitate connectivity between devices behind routers that use network address translation
    (NAT).

Failure to obtain a Teredo IP address can occur when there’s an issue with your Teredo adapter, when a device on your network is blocking the Teredo protocol. Without a Teredo IP address, you’ll be
unable to use party chat or do multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live.

Check to see if Teredo connectivity is blocked when a VPN client is connected, or while a VPN network adapter is installed

Some VPN clients will disable Teredo connectivity while the VPN client is connected, and some VPN clients that install a network adapter that will disable Teredo until the VPN adapter is removed. If you’ve
installed a VPN client and Teredo is still disabled even while the VPN client is disconnected, check to see if you have a network adapter named
    TAP-Windows Adapter V9 installed:

    1. Right-click the Start icon, and then select Device Manager.
    2. Select View > Show Hidden Devices.
    3. Select Network Adapters.
    4. Identify any adapters that have a name like TAP-Windows Adapter V9. Right-click the adapter name, and then select
      Uninstall.
Note While uninstalling the VPN network adapter should unblock Teredo connectivity, this will also likely cause issues with the VPN client software. If you still require VPN functionality along with Teredo support, refer to the support documentation
      for the VPN client.

    Issue with Teredo Adapter

First, start troubleshooting the issue by by running the Windows Update Troubleshooter for Windows 10 (microsoft.com), then follow the steps mentioned here => How to perform a clean boot in Windows (microsoft.com).

Concerning the blocked NAT type, you will need to open some ports from your internet service provider's end. Opening the ports will result in an Open NAT type.

These are the ports that must be open: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP).
