Issue with system update from Xbox live

A system update is available from Xbox Live. If you decline, you won't be able to connect to Xbox Live until you take the update...

What's been tried?

- Clearing cache

- reformatting 4 gig internal flash drive

- Factory reset on wired connection

...tried with console in DMZ while port forwarding was turned off

...tried with port forwarding on while DMZ was turned off

...tried static ip using mac address

- tried updating using usb formatted fat 32. It would read it. Try to install it. Then fail.

- changed xbox live account pass word. Think there was a prompt at one point stating it needed to be changed.

- deleted xbox live profile from console.

There are zero games, zero cache, zero user date on the 4 gig internal memory outside the memory used by the system.

There is 1.1 gig free on the 4 gig flash drive and nothing else.

There is a 32 gig usb flash drive loaded into the console with some formatted for fat 32 and the rest, 24 gigs, used by xbox. Also tried formatting the whole 32 gig flash drive for xbox and downloading update from console. Tried CD too.

Contacted support who recommended the system be sent in for repair. Cost $80+.

Purchased 320 gig ms harddrive. When installed. Console was able to connect to xbox live. Download the full update and started the install. Half way through the install failed. Returned the ms 320 gig harddrive.

All of this tells me it's not the internet. Console was working great before the 4/1/2014 system update. Why the 32 gig usb memory card will not work like the harddrive is beyound me. With the harddrive it would at least connect to xbox live and complete the
download. Seems as if the 4 gig internal flash drive is corrupted and needs to be reflashed.

Probably tried a few others things too... but sure would like to resolve this with an update/patch.

The article also when on to note that those with the "Instant On" feature enabled will be first to get the update since it will roll out in waves. Everyone else will received it by Thursday 12/12/13. I for one am very happy to see Microsoft quickly begin to fix the many small issues or bug currently found on the Xbox One. We can only hope they continue to be persistent and hasten.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried the above combo. Support mentioned this also. But no go. Still receive Status Code when attempting the system update. Also, still unable to complete the Test Live Connection. The test fails when connecting to live. Live Connection
Error.

 

Same problems you're having. Let us know if it gets resolved. The Xbox 360s is just a brick now.
