Issue with signing into XBL after new router purchase.

So, I had to get a new router the other day (Netgear N600), and everything works fine as far as connectivity. But, whenever I turn my console on it says "Not Connected", so I go to Network Settings and it shows that there are no problems and I am connected
and everything is fine... but it doesn't sign into XBL. So, to sign into XBL I have to "search" for my new router (even though it's already connected) and re-enter the password, and then it finally signs me in. It's not a big deal, more of an inconvenience
than anything, but it didn't start doing this until I got my new router. I'm guessing it's just some stupid thing I'm not doing, but I can't figure it out.

My similar issue cleared up when I purchased a new router....

 

XBL gone down UK

was signed in to XBL then got signed out assumed it was to do with the update tried signing back in an i just get cant connect to XBL reset my router, no avail tried turning into my other halfs xbox exactly same problem whats going on? im in the UK

 

do you run the latest Firmware for your Router?

If you bought the Router you can have support from
my.netgear.com/.../login.aspx

You can open a Ticket and they help you.

 

I feel like this is on the Xbox One end, not the router end... is there some auto-sign-in thing I am missing or something?

 

Is your Xbox on "instant on" or on power saving?

Are you having any configurations done for the Xbox on your router like portforwardings ip reservations or some other stuff?

 

It's been on power saving mode since I got my Xbox One, which was about 6 weeks before I got my new router.

As far as your second question... I am a moron when it comes to that sort of stuff, haha. As far as I know, I haven't changed any of that stuff.

 

1: Did you open all the ports on your Router for Xbox Live? If not you can find them in the support options above.

2: Does other devices connect properly?

3: Full Cone Nat also fixes a lot of router issues. I had to have it turned on with my router even when UPNP was activated.

4: Try Static IP on your Xbox One and put the IP# into the DMZ.

2. Haven't had any issues with my Macbook, iPhone, or Xbox 360.

3 and 4 have me really confused. I am not tech savvy at all when it comes to this sort of thing. I guess I should probably do some more research.

 

if you buy a new router an it worked before - then the Problem could only be your router.

Do a Firmware upgrade of your router if available. If it doesn't help you can go to the official netgear Forums. There are many people with this router. They can tell you what you can do to run the router with xbox live.
