Issue with Party Chat cutting on headset

Issue:

While playing Battlefield One sometimes chat stops working on my headset. I can still hear sound but no chat. If I pull out the headset I can hear the chat on my Kinnect. Plug back the headset and I hear the sound but no chat. This happens with multiple
controllers and headsets.

I have had this problem with the following configurations:

XBOX One Original Controller with Microsoft Chat Headset

New Xbox Controller with Kingston HyperX Cloud X head set

New Xbox Controller with Kingston HyperX Cloud X head set

The chat works fine 85% of the time but when it cuts out I don't realize it for a while because I can still hear sound.

Pulling out the headset and plugging back in works very rarely but sometimes, but the chat usually cuts out again.

I figured it might be a network issue, perhaps latency but I recently hardwired the xbox and I still have the issue. I bought a new headset because I thought the XBOX Chat Headset was broken. I bought a new controller because i needed the 3.5 jack and
didn't want to buy an adapter for a 3rd of the price of a new controller.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Party Chat not Working

Every since the console update on Saturday, I am unable to chat in a party. Everybody that I party with says they can hear each other but party chat doesn't work for me. If doesn't work with a headset or through the Kinect.

Our party did switch over to game chat and we were able to chat with each other, so I know it's not an issue with my headset.

Anybody else encounter anything like this?

The Kinect microphone.

This would also cause massive complications with the party chat, constantly cutting between commands and speaking to your friends. I would say that I'd like to be given the option but I only wear a headset if I speak to friends so that's pointless too.

Thanks for the detailed post! To try to narrow this down, could you test this by wiring your Xbox One controller to your Xbox One console with a Micro USB cable? Testing with that will help us a bunch.

It's not a hardware issue, the actual party chat cuts out and then disconnects

Hello Anthony,

Sorry for the issue with the sound in headsets not working as it should. When you are in a party chat does it seem to be bothered, or is it game chat and party chat? You can try the

troubleshooting steps for chat headsets. Keep in mind the headset you have is also a third party so troubleshooting is limited.

This is a really strange issue. It's almost acting like the adaptor is behaving like the chat headset that comes with the box (or that the controller is seeing it that way), in that when the standard headset is plugged in, the chat audio cuts out in exactly
the same way....
