    Issue with Parties & Online Status


    I am having a weird issue and have been since the last update. Two things are happening, the first is that I'll be in a party then out of no where it will kick me. Which isn't uncommon, but the weird part is that it didn't give me a notification that I left
    the party. Then, after that happens I usually end up being displayed as "offline" even tho that option isnt activated on my profile page.

    Does anyone know what may be causing this issue?

    Nat is set to open but i cant join peoples party or game

    Hey it Maxxyy, your issue is caused by your online status. Currently you're showing as only having a Silver Live membership. In order to play with other people online or join their parties you must have a Gold membership.

    Once you purchase a Gold membership and apply it to your account you'll find that you'll be able to join the games and parties.

    Xbox Live's Social and Gaming Issues

    Right now, there is a service alert out for parties and chat. Keep an eye on
    http://xbox.com/status     to see when the issue involving parties and chat is resolved. If you're still having issues after that, let us know so you can get further troubleshooting

    This is a Bug i have experienced and there is no Solution Sadly so please bare with me while an Xbox Staff Member resolves it. And the Offline Problem is probably a Bug related to your WiFi Connection nothing to do with the XBL Servers.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that the issue earlier is different. According to Xbox Support:

    "We are aware that some users are experiencing issues with seeing their Friends' online status or joining Party chats. Our engineers are investigating"

    This is related to their status such as if they're online, they're not showing as "online".

    Are you pertaining to the notification when a favorite friend go online?

    The "Busy" and "Away" status are just indicators to your current status. Friends can still join your party or current games. There is not an option to be online and prevent friends from joining your party or current game, unfortunately.
