Issue with my account email message

I got the vague email message:

"There seems to be an issue with your account:

please reach out to our support forum team."

What is the issue and how can it be corrected?

Xbox Live Customer Service Nightmare

You had better make sure that you have access to your email and/or your text messages if you want help from Xbox live. I tried to call them to get their help in a billing issue. They would not talk to me unless they had a customer code. I needed that billing issue sorted right then, as I really did not want an overdrawn bank account. I did not have access to my email and could not get the code! They refused to talk to me without it. I had to borrow a phone, and call my brother. He logged in to my email. I then had to relay the customer code from my brother to the agent. I like that they are secure, but the way they have it set up is sort of annoying. How do you feel about customer service?

One year anniversary of the one - thanks message from xbox

I am sure whatever they give will be linked to the Xbox account message system.

I had that problem with using an old email. I switched the email through windows live. It took like 30 days to do that though. At least I get the emails now.

Have you tried logging in from a PC? Here is the support
page if the issue is related to an invalid email or password.

If Xbox Live Rewards is unable to deposit into your account for some reason, as long as you have not opted out to make the transition to Microsoft Rewards, any undeposited Xbox Live Rewards Credits and unredeemed MyVIP Gems will be automatically converted
to Microsoft Rewards points and be added to your Microsoft Rewards account to redeem for whatever you choose from the Microsoft Rewards catalog.

I'm also running into this issue. Iv'e been playing on my original email for 6 years now, but want to change it to my new main account that all my email and Windows 8 is synced with. I have tried the posted method to swap the accounts around, but I get
the same message stating that I cannot swap at this time. Very frustrating as I'm trying to consolidate a few emails into one.

No it's possible to change the email of an account, but the OP should not be getting that error message if he created the account a while ago and has not previously changed the email address. I've never heard of anyone having that issue though.
