Issue with Minecraft Migration

Well, I was told I needed to migrate my PC Minecraft from my Mojang Microsoft account to my Microsoft Minecraft account. I tried to migrate. When it said "Log into your Microsoft account", I tried to Log In. It said my account had been locked.

Okay, just reset password. It says for me to confirm my cell phone has the last two digits **XX, but my last two digits are not XX, nor do I believe I've ever had a phone with the last two digits XX.

Okay, just try another method. There is no other method available.

Okay, recover account? Yes, there is an option to recover account. Fill in a form with all the information possible. Done. "You will receive and email within 24 hours."

Five minutes later, I get the email. "We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***. Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership." blah blah... "Would you like to submit the form again?"

Okay ... submit the form again (what the heck?).

Five minutes later, same response. "We recently received ... blah blah... Would you like to submit the form again?"

Seems like I am caught in an endless loop. What next?

For those who might say, "Your Microsoft account ends in gmail. It is not a Microsoft account." My Mojang account was a gmail account. When Microsoft Minecraft asked me to migrate, it asked, "What account do you want to use?" I gave it my gmail account name, and it allowed me to proceed. Then told me my account was locked.

If the answer is, you need to associate your Mojang Minecraft account (gmail) with a Microsoft account (I don't know ... hotmail?), then why did they give me the option to sign up with a gmail account?
