Issue with Microsoft Ultimate Word Games

This isn't a crisis or anything, but annoying nonetheless. I've been playing Ultimate Word Games for some time now and got to levels in the 200s, but for some reason the app suddenly decided to forget all that and reset all game levels to 1. But the thing is... when you select a game, all of them are already completed. It still forces me to select a game though.

I suppose I could get back to my original levels simply by opening a the next game in the sequence and then immediately clicking "Next Game" over and over, but it would take days or weeks to get back to where I was. Is there a way to get the game app to remember (or reset) to my original completed levels?

Okay, I submitted a report on the zendesk site. We'll see what comes of that. Whether or not this qualifies as an actual "bug" is debatable. Depends how often it has occurred for others, I suppose. There were no particular events that happened on my computer that might have triggered it, so it seems like a random thing. Where are the game levels stored? Registry? A data file somewhere? It seems that the game simply lost or deleted the data.

Your progress is stored on the cloud as long as you are signed in with a Microsoft account, Christine.

So it could be a problem with your current cloud save, just to give an example.

Yeah, there's little doubt that something f-ed up, whether it's a cloud issue or something a little closer to home. My only concern however is fixing it. That's what I'm after, some way to get past the games that are already completed--which it currently won't let me do--and continue from where I left off.

If I have to hack into a protected area of the OS or the registry or some hidden file or other, so be it. I can do it, I just need to know where to look.
