    Issue With Media Player


    I'm having an issue with the media player. I connect my iPod, and the Xbox/media player recognizes it, and I'm able to browse it's contents...except none of my 7000+ songs show up on it. Is there a way around this, or is it an issue that could possibly be
    fixed in a future update?

    xbox one hopeless media player

    I don't even try media player as it doesn't play much but expected more from plex, it's def a plex issue as Iv installed plex client on PC and still have issues. Iv tried media player with usb, no joy there either.

    Media Player Unavailable?

    I am having the exact same issue. Uninstalled Media Player and now it's unavailable... Very frustrating. Why does Xbox One Media Player feel like a huge step back from Xbox 360 Media Player?

    Hey everyone!

    Sorry to hear about the Media Player app issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. There was a recent service alert that my have caused issues if you were trying to install the Media Player app, but this issue has been resolved.
    If you are experiencing issues with the Media Player losing connection, please go ahead and create a new thread. This way you can receive support specifically tailored to you. In the meantime, try Uninstalling and

    Media Player App Issues

    I have had same problem with Media Player on my recently purchased XboxOne S.

    I play films from usb hard drive which on average crash 3 times per 90 minute film on the One S. So far 5 out of 5 different films, not just one!!!

    I have tried 3 hard drives all which seem to crash every 20-40 minutes on my One S

    I have tried front and back ports.

    I have tried brand new hard drives]

    They work fine in my lg tv.

    I hope this has been resolved?????

    Media Player App Issues

    I experience the same issues.

    128 gb USB drive with about 75 gb of music files on it. Have plugged it into all the USB ports.

    Playing a single music folder (typically a single album) is not a problem. If I try to shuffle the entire USB drive, however, it stops during song 2 or 3 and kicks back out to the dashboard.

    As for the general playback, it's super frustrating that when you hit the back button, the media player stops playing the current track. You should be able to browse other files / folders within the USB drive without stopping your current track. This was
    available on 360, no reason it shouldn't be included on the One's media player.
