Issue with IP address on Xbox 360

I'm getting a issue with the IP address when I try to connect to Xbox Live, Im using an Asus RT AC66u router

May 2011 Update

I received the update on the 27th also. I have three xboxes, one 360 s, one 360 elite, and an older 360 with a 20gig hardrive. All of them updated without issue and I have not noticed any problems with any of them so far.

So maybe the problem is in your network, or in your Xbox itself. Now if you have any special settings in your router, for your Xbox (like Port forwarding or DMZ settings) that are based on an IP address, the update may have caused your Xbox to change
its IP address and those settings won't work. So you might check to be sure any settings in your router that use your Xbox's IP address are pointing at the right address.

If you have a modern router you should be able to use DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) in the routers Settings. This will open all Port for the Xbox 360 static IP address.

I would Recommend Trying one of these

1: Static IP Address on the Xbox and Adding the IP address in DMZ

2: Static IP address on the Xbox and Port forwarding

To access you router type 192.168.1.0 in the address bar or 192.168.0.1

There my be a Username and Password given by default Via ISP

DMZ and Part Forwarding Will be under Advance or Security.

DMZ: Requires Static IP address entering

Port Forwarding: you need to Enter the ports with Ip address

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Before we get started, could you detailing out any troubleshooting steps you have tried so far, so we don't provide you with steps that may only echo back.

When was the last time your console were able to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server?

Unless you are using static IP addresses and have assigned open ports to one of your Xbox's enabling UPnP should prevent problems. If you have opened ports for one IP address they cannot be open for your second Xbox too.

In this house we have three Xbox 360's and two Xbox Ones without any issues. All have DCHP issued IP addresses, no assigned ports and UPnP enabled with zero issues
