Issue with Headset on Xbox 360

Hello!

I have been using this Turtle Beach Earforce x11 Headset on my Xbox 360 for a couple of years now without a single issue, and I had no issues at all today until I unplugged my headset for a brief period of time. Upon plugging it back in, I receive no normal
sounds. I.E. no sound when bringing up and navigating through the Xbox 360 menu, no sound in-game either. The microphone functions perfectly fine, and I can hear voice chat and voice from messages. The headset also works for PC, so I tried it out on mine,
and everything functions perfectly fine. I've tried every setting I could think of, including the voice volume setting, which are both at max. I've unplugged the headset many times in the past without incident. The only mute button on my headset is for the
microphone, and i've obviously played with the volume slider. Why would I be able to head in-game voice and voice messages, but not Xbox navigation or in-game sounds?

Unable to be heard by other players on Multiplayer

Are you on the 360 or Xbox One?

If you are on the One make sure you have installed the updates for your controller, or your headset will not work correctly. Also, with the 360 is your headset fairly new? It could be an issue with your aux cable.

Does anyone know if the Xbox one will have any audio adapter of some sort?

Microsoft is working on an adapter for Xbox 360 headsets to work with Xbox One.

Maybe it will help if I explain what I was doing when the issue occurred. I was playing Fable 2, one controller and my headset were taking up the USB ports while playing the game. The game has a co-op feature that allows a friend to plug in a controller
and play immediately. I unplugged my headset while the game was running (something i've done many times in the past without issue), and plugged in a second controller. Once my friend and I were done playing, I unplugged the second controller and plugged my
headset back in, only to run into the problem i'm having.

As mentioned in my previous post, the headset as a whole functions 100% OK on PC, and the microphone portion functions on my Xbox. I can hear voice chat and messages, but I can't hear Xbox Navigation sound effects, nor can I hear any sound while playing
a game.

I've discovered a roundabout solution; My TV happens to have a singular USB port, which allows me to plug in my headset and still get game sound. However, I would still like suggestions for a solution to the lack of game sound when the headset is used on
my Xbox.

An Xbox One headset does not work on the 360 as a 360 headset doesn't work on the Xbox One.

Also it's not recommended to play your 360 through the X1 just because of latency issues. So if you're playing fast paced games like shooters it's not that great.

I would suggest getting an official Xbox 360 headset, they run at about $19.99. But first try the steps on the following link to pinpoint whether it is the headset causing the issues

Hello Mrs. Do you have a standard Xbox 360 headset (the one that comes with the console) to test this with? If the standard headset works fine, then that points to a headset issue, but if the problem persists, then it may be a console or connection issue.
Let us know, and we can go from there.
