  1. Issue with Headset Adapter

Is it possible to turn off the game audio that is being sent through the adapter and ONLY have chat audio be sent through it?

I have a Turtle Beach PX51 headset which gets surround sound audio wirelessly, however, it also receives the game audio through the headset adapter making the game audio absolutely bonkers. It is way too loud and sometimes isn't in sync, so I get echoes.

    :)

  3. xbox one controller disconnects???

Has anyone returned their headset or headset adapter to see if a new headset adapter fixed this issue?

I am beginning to think that it might be a problem with the headset adapter and not the firmware update.

This doesn't seem to be an epidemic but more of an isolated problem for certain customers.

Yes, the buttons on the left, one is chat, the other is game, you have to adjust them like a scale, so if the default is chat volume at 5 and the game volume is at 5, then you push the chat volume once, it will be chat 6 and game 4.

In other words, push the chat button until you can't hear the game anymore.

  5. It doesn't really mute out the game volume though, it is still there a little bit. I'll have to play some more to see how distracting it is and if I can live with it, but you wouldn't believe how absurdly loud Titanfall is with both audio sources lol

That's always been a thing with using the better headsets, it's weird at first but when you consider you have both ears covered it makes such a diference hearing footsteps around you. I even use mine for tv late at night since it plays through my tv out.
The best mix is to find your favorite setting and then you can tunr the game audio down almost completely if you have a set with the independent volume control on the cord as well. Just got my adapter today, didn't know it had two different audio settings
    on it...pretty cool feature added.

  7. my issue with the headset adapter is that you have to plug a wire into it to be able to use the good headsets...very backwards.

    mic muted

    Hello Angel,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. If these headsets are connecting directly with the 3.5mm jack we recommend buying an adapter. They plug into the controller and the headset plugs into the adapter, with a lot of third party headsets we have
been noticing this issue and the adapter usually fixes it, due to the software for adapter.

    Thanks,

    Brad

    Controllers

Some people say the Headset Adapter resolves most issues with the headsets. Personally, I use an adapter and have never had an issue. Just a thought.

Mic not working with Audio Adapter

    Hi Los Cassidy,

Sorry you're having issues with your Stereo Headset adapter and mic. Can you test your headset with another adapter to see if the adapter itself is faulty? It sounds like you have 2 controllers. Does the issue happen on both controllers? Also is there another
headset that you can test with? As your headset tested okay with another device, it very well could be a bad adapter. If another adapter works, then let us know as you said it could be software related as well.

    Headset adapter issues

Did you do the controller update with the adapter attached through the Settings menu? If not, do that.

You could also double check that the headset is not muted.
