Issue with getting a prepaid card through

Why can't I get my prepaid card to go through so I can have Xbox Live Gold, but the card number isn't going through at all which makes me mad. I am not getting a proper error codes at all.

xbox live 12 month not working

I couldn't redeem the card either, getting XBOS-3014. I had to turn on auto-renew and update the credit card info, I then turned off auto-renew again and the prepaid card worked.

hi its the same issue with me,but i deleted the credit card. What should I do?

Hi same issue except i don't even have a credit card to begin with i've always used prepaid xbox cards. Any idea what to do? or should i try getting refund?

Is a Visa gift card allowed for xbox to make online purchases?

Yes, if it has greendot. I would suggest getting a walmart money card (Prepaid Visa). All prepaid cards with greendot should work for xbox.

Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that the Xbox Live account, the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
Contact Us | Xbox Support they can do a more indepth look into this issue.

We appreciate you reaching out to us with this issue. Prepaid cards are acceptable but they would need to be properly billed. Meaning you would need to be able to register the card through the prepaid service to include billing information. Some prepaid
cards do not offer this feature. Also, you would need to resolve any open balances on your account first. Thank you.

No. You just either buy one through Xbox or buy a prepaid gold card and redeem it to your account. Prepaid cards are generally cheaper.

If this is the case by a subscription card from Walmart or the xbox site. If you are buying a specific item it should allow you to use a prepaid card. The problem with subscriptions is that people would get the prepaid cards and then not add money to
them again. So they cannot be charged until funds are added, many subscription services do not allow prepaid cards because of this issue.
