Issue with game updates Xbox one s

I'm having issues with updating games I'm trying to do a 14gb update on black ops , I left it to run the update overnight but when I've returned the the Xbox it's only done 300mbs of the update. It won't let me play the game and won't let me pause or cancel
the update or uninstall the game. Ive trying switching the Xbox off at the wall and leaving it but still no joy, and as it won't let me pause the update I am unable to do updates with any games

No scam involved with releasing the One S a year or so later after the Xbox One.

Ive not had any issues with either the Xbox One or the One S, in fact I'm quite happy.

Games do need internet access to update, maybe this is the issue or maybe it isn't.

OK Factory reset (keep games and apps), and a manual update via USB solved the issue. Think the migration from XBOX ONE to ONE S was the issue. So far so good.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

Also it gives me the option to pause the download but does nothing when I click it also won't let me uninstall the game, also on the main screen the the update section has the loading icon (circle going round) constantly but nothing ever appears there.
