    Issue with Game Downloads


    Hi all,

    I'm attempting to download some games via Xbox Beta and MS Store.

    When I attempt to download Master Chief Collection, it downloads very fast, around 120 MB/s, until it reaches 6.43 GB, then the download stops and goes no further.

    No matter what I do, uninstall everything, reinstall, run sfc /scannow command, clean boot etc, it just does not work. It won't download any further than 6.43 GB.

    I have Steam installed, but no other games installed through that platform, if that helps, but I don't see how the two would interact.

    I'm usually pretty good with googling an answer but for the life of me I can't figure it out. The partial download is next to impossible to uninstall, I attempt uninstall from MS Store, Xbox Beta App, setting and start menu but it won't uninstall unless
    I restart the PC. If I try to install after this, the same issues occur.

    I'm able to open the MCC "app" but it just tells me to install Halo CE and Reach, but again nothing on the download progresses.

    I had the same issue with the Outer Worlds around 3 or 4 months ago, but I was able to download it yesterday with no problems, a steady 5 MB/s for the whole download.

    Can anyone help me?

    Hi both your region and location must be the same to access certain content and validate downloads or play restricted games etc.

    If your location and region are not the same you can amend by following these steps:

    support.xbox.com/.../change-region

    Please note disc based games must be compatible with your consoles region.

    Check the information under the heading 'Can I transfer a content licence from one xbox 360 console to another. This should hopefully answer your question:

    What steps did you try with Support? Letting us know what you've already done would be helpful for us.

    For now, even if you've already tried to do so, cancel all your pending and paused downloads completely, then power cycle the console (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console)
    and see if that allows you to install any of the games from your Ready to Install list.

    Did you flag it? I'm guessing it won't be up long. Mods are on a break. I was signed into my old email so I just posted and deleted with the old GT tied to that by accident. So now it's doubly flagged. Heh.
