Issue when turning xbox one on from stand by

Occasionally I seem to have an issue when turning my xbox one from stand by. I would say 80% of the time it boots up fine super quick which is great but sometimes instead of turning on it will crash and turn completely off and have to boot like it never
was in stand by which is frustration to say the least. Is anyone else having this issue/know if a remedy or fix for it?

On one of the other forums, it suggests going into xbox settings and turning off your family settings

apparently this is the fix stand by.

 

Switching OFF xboxe one problem

Hi sorry if i posted it to the wrong category. I just have a little problem. I have my xbox one s set to energy saving not to the stand by mode. But somethings when I switch off my xbox and then when i switch it on it starts up straight away to the xbox
menu like it was on the stand by mode and rememberd the last section. I don't know why such a thing happens. I switched off my xbox through the controller then switched it on using the console button and it was straight on the menu it wasn't switching on properly.
Sometimes i turn off the plug in power on the wall specially at night when i go to sleep, so i don't want to have my xbox turning off like a cut off power because even if i switch it off it stills on like the stand by mode... I need to add that it doesnt'
happens often, i preferred xbox 360 turning off way, once you pressed the button it was off.

 

G'day Gurt! Sorry to hear about the strange power issue that you're experiencing. When you say it crashes at startup from Instant-On, how exactly does it behave? Does anything appear on the screen? Does the console turn itself off, with the light on the
power supply going to orange?

One thing you can try for now is this: If the console is plugged into a power strip/surge protector, unplug it from that and plug it straight into the wall outlet instead. The power supply has a built-in surge protector, so there's no risk of power surge
when doing this.

If it's already plugged directly into a wall outlet, try a different outlet in the room if you're able to.
