  1. Issue when plugging in Xbox One controller to PC

I tried plugging in my brand new xbox one controller into my computer to play a racing game. I updated the drivers and also updated the controller firmware. i went to start my game and I updated the input device and configured the buttons on the controller.
I configured the left joystick to steer the car left and right. When I try playing the game, the buttons work fine but the car automatically steers to the right. I dont know why. It seems like the axis is messed up. SHould I open a support chat? Would I be
able to get a replacement? I am running windows 10 on my pc and the game I am trying to play is city car driving.

    :)

How do I use the Play & Charge Kit to charge my controller with my PC and still control my Xbox One?

I bought the Play & Charge Kit because I am handicapped and the Xbox and TV are on the other side of the room. I want to charge it by plugging it into a USB slot on my PC, however, when I do that, it stops controlling my Xbox One. When I push the Power
button on the controller, it loads Steam instead. Xbox Customer Service doesn't seem to understand my issue and googling it brings up the opposite of what I want to do, so let me spell it out:

I WANT TO CHARGE MY XBOX ONE CONTROLLER VIA THE PC USB SLOT WITHOUT IT TURNING INTO A PC CONTROLLER INSTEAD OF AN XBOX ONE CONTROLLER!!!

Controller won't turn on - Extremely hot when plugged in

My controller up and died midway through a game, batteries were not low or anything and now it will not turn on at all.

    I have tried:

    -Wired with no batteries.

    -A different battery pack.

    -Actual batteries.

    -Plugging it into my PC.

-Plugging it into a different Xbox One.

None of these things will turn my controller on and the controller also gets extremely hot near the D-Pad when it is plugged in.

Any fix for this issue or what the known cause is? I'd hate for my other controller to meet the same fate.

Paired xbox one wireless controller to Xbox console, want to pair that to my windows 10

Hey ! Does the controller power on when you plug it in via USB? Try out the steps on the "How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller
    to a Windows PC
" page and see if you're able to get connected. Post back and let us know!
When I plug the USB into my controller then into the PC, the controller vibrates and I'm able to turn it on. But my PC doesn't tell me that the controller is plugged in. And Xbox Accessories says that I need to plug in a controller, but it is plugged
in. So I don't know what is going on. Have you guys ever had this type of problem posted before? If yes please let me know how it was solved. Thank you.

Audio Static when headset is plugged into controller on PC

The headset works fine in other devices and when plugged into the front audio port on my pc. The static only occurs when it is plugged into my xbox one controller, and the controller port worked fine until I updated drivers.

Xbox One Controller forgetting bluetooth pairing after being plugged in.

the controller will always remain paired to the console without issue.
    Hi,

There is a very good reason for this. On the console, the controller doesn't use Bluetooth, it uses its own proprietary wireless connection. The original Xbox One controllers didn't have Bluetooth on release and could only be connected via a micro USB cable,
the newer controllers have the BT feature, but still work with the original Xbox One (think Xbox One Fat 2013).

It can't re-pair automatically because it has two types of wireless sync technologies built in. The only way I believe you can make the controller sync automatically would be via the Xbox One Gaming receiver for Windows 10. The receiver doesn't use Bluetooth.

    I hope that makes sense.

That's interesting information, but it's still an issue.

When I plug my phone into my PC, it doesn't forget the bluetooth pairing. Plugged in or not I can use the phone companion app just fine, and I don't have to re-pair it when I unplug it.

When I pair a soundbar to my PC, it works just as well as when I unplug it and use it through bluetooth, and again no re-pairing needed.

When I plug in my Sennheiser wireless headphones to charge it, it's still paired to my PC through bluetooth when I unplug it.

For some unknown reason when you plug in an Xbox One controller, it or Windows 10 (or both) deletes or resets the bluetooth profile associated with it, which requires Windows 10 to pair with it again. It's the only device I know of that loses bluetooth pairing
because you plugged it in. Having two different radio technologies is not an excuse. It would make sense if I was connecting the controller to the PC through bluetooth and then plugging it into an Xbox, but that isn't the case. I don't even have an Xbox anymore.

The controller/Windows 10 has no real reason for clearing/resetting the bluetooth profile when plugging the controller in.
