Issue when download while in standby!

1st off, this is NOT my XBL Gold tag, it is R00K53, (r-zero-zero-k53).

My ISP is Time Warner, Motorola Modem & Linksys N900 router.

Used 360 on this practicall since launch with NO issues.

Just got my XB1 last Wed.

Hooked up & updated fine NAT=open, all network & multiplayer tests=fine.

Every game runs fine. I can download games & updates fine.

Now, my problem...

If I'm downloading a game, and I shut my console down, into stand-by/instant on mode, the download will continue for while, (usually gets to about 35%), then it stops, I lose my whole network. (I know this because when I turn the console on, the download
is usually at about 35%)

If I run network test it say's "DNS can not find Xbox Live Servers".

I must reset my modem & router to get everything back.

This ONLY happens when downloading in sleep/instant on mode.

Anyone else??

Do games download faster while in standby?

Quick question. I'm downloading Halo 5 on to my xbox one. Will keeping my Xbox in standby mode speed up the download faster or does it not really matter?

Likely.

Everything will work faster when other areas of your bandwidth aren't being used

Sorry to hear it. Are you connected via wireless? If so, have you considered trying an ethernet connection?

The router might be the issue here that is causing the disconnect on your console so if you do try an ethernet connection from the router and still experience the same issue try connecting directly to the modem

Thanx for the reply.

I DID remedy the problem.

Connected my XB1 direct to modem, thereby eliminating the router, everything worked fine.

It also gave me an ipv4 DNS, as opposed to the ipv6 I was gettingn through the router.

I reconnected the router, (I always use a wired connection with my consoles), I disabled ipv6, disabled ipv4 & ipv6 firewall, and moved my XB1 to DMZ.

Now, even though I disabled ipv6 in my router, my XB1 is still showing an ipv6 DNS Primary, BUT everthing is working fine, INCLUDING downloading in sleep/stand-by.

It responded to "Xbox On" while downloading in standby.

My xbox downloads at approximately 10% of my bandwidth while in standby mode through wifi. 250mb an hour in standby while on wifi. While on it downloads 4-5 gb an hour. I just tried a wired connection and seemed to fix it. Give it a try.
