    Issue updating Forza 5


    I just got game pass for pc again after not having it for a few months and when I opened the app it started to updated forza. After it got to 12% it said an error had occurred. All the error code said was that "something unexpected happened" with the error code 0x87e0000f. I cancelled the update, which it said would uninstall forza completely, and then tried to install it again. The install started on 12 percent with the same size as the update (about 12gb) and then after a few seconds the same error came up again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the xbox app, I have restarted my pc multiple times, I've tried installing through the microsoft store, I've uninstalled and reinstalled gaming services. Nothing has worked. Other things download, it is just forza.

    I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with your Forza updates that is stuck. We are very glad to help you out to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.



    1. Clear the Microsoft Store cache:

    - Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

    - Type "wsreset.exe" and press Enter.

    - Wait for the command to complete and then try to update or install Forza again.

    2. Reset the Xbox app:

    - Open the Settings app on your PC.

    - Click on Apps.

    - Scroll down and click on the Xbox app.

    - Click on Advanced options.

    - Click on Reset.

    - Wait for the reset to complete and then try to update or install Forza again.

    3. Check for Windows updates:

    - Open the Settings app on your PC.

    - Click on Update & Security.

    - Click on Check for updates.

    - Install any available updates and then try to update or install Forza again.

    4. Check your internet connection:

    - Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

    - Try resetting your router or modem.

    - Try connecting to a different network and then try to update or install Forza again.

    5. Check if you do have any 3rd party anti-virus.

    Sometimes it will tend to block your updates or any software updates that you are running on your PC.

    6. Check if your Graphics Driver us up to date.

    This is as well a need to check if updated since Forza 5 is a large game file and has high graphics too. So it may need your Graphics Drivers to be updated and see and check if issue do still persist.

    try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, as well as when you uninstall the game remove your profile from the Xbox One and re-download it. this can be done from the settings. it could be a problem with the initial download of the game but just to make
    sure I would re-download your profile.
