[ISSUE] System Freezes when Accessing HDD.

I have quite the bizarre issue and haven't found anyone that's experienced anything similar.

My story goes from last night, when I activated Xbox Live and began to start GTA Online. GTA Online requires the player to download 13 compatibility packs before playing. I accidentally started the largest download first, so I canceled it and began downloading
the other smaller packs. When I went to download the third or fourth compatibility pack, the system completely froze (with just the spinning wheel) for a good five minutes, so I performed a hard reset (it is worth noting that this was apparently while a download
was at 18%).

When I turned the system back on I was able to select and logon to my profile (stored on my HDD). All was well until I clicked the home button and tried to check active downloads, the system froze again for about 7 minutes, eventually displaying a "This
feature cannot be accessed at the current time", followed by an error code that I unfortunately do not have, but did not appear to be helpful. After another hard reset I tried going to System->Storage, but clicking this caused a similar system freeze. I then
removed the HDD from the Xbox and tried to use my console. Everything appeared to work when the HDD was removed, as I could access my Storage settings. I was greeted with a system update (probably because the previous update was stored on my HDD instead of
the built in storage). After performing this system update I tried using the Xbox with the HDD plugged back in. It worked! I could access HDD Storage and my active downloads to see the 18% download. I canceled this since the network stream appeared to have
died. But after canceling that download the problems with freezing came back. During the brief period when my Xbox began working again I was able to clear the cache of the HDD, which seemed to do nothing in the end.

I have no idea what is causing these errors or how I might fix them (preferably without formatting the HDD). Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you have any insight as to how this may be fixed your effort would be most appreciated. I am a developer
myself, so please don't hold back any technical responses!

L.A. Noire keeps crashing

Does the game freeze at all? Also, have you tried clearing your cache? You can do so by accessing 'System Settings' in the Xbox 360 Dashboard, then selecting 'Memory.' With your HDD highlighted, press (Y), and then select 'Clear Cache.'

 

Freeze when accessing Autolog

Hello friends,

I started playing Shift 2 Unleashed last week and have some issues with Autolog. Whenever I try to access it, it just shows up for a few seconds, then everything freezes. Sound stops, Controller doesn't work any more, I have to reboot my box. Tried this
several times, it always starts to freeze after about 5 seconds..

It never worked for me..

Does anyone else have those issues?

I gave it a substantial break last night. Didn't appear to have an effect.

 

Last night there were issues signing in to Xbox Live. Please try again and see if you have better results.

 

So it turns out the problem was with the partially downloaded files. They had to be deleted from another profile and were marked "Incomplete" on the Xbox 360 file system.
