Issue redeeming code

I purchased a £15 code for Xbox Live credit last Thursday, but my console froze up when I tried to enter it. The credit has not been applied to my account, but if I try to redeem the code again, it says it has already been used. I chatted with an Xbox support
rep about this who said they would escalate it to "localised billing", gave them my email and phone number, but have heard nothing back yet. Please can someone look into this?

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

Sorry but there is nothing anyone on the forums can do to help you with this. Because it is a billing issue it can only be addressed through phone support. Call them back and see if they've heard anything back about it.

 

Just had a look on commerce.microsoft.com and it is showing a Microsoft Account credit of £15 on 26/03/14, which is correct, so how come I can't use it to make purchases?

 

Are you trying to purchase on the console or the website?

The website is not yet set up to accept purchases with your credit amount. The console will only ask for an alternate payment method in case the value of the item goes over the amount you have in currency. However, on the console the currency will always
be the first amount taken from.

 

I'm having the exact same issue and used the support chat to speak with a rep. They told me that they could not tell what had happened and had to escalate the issue. Said I should here back in 3-5 days. After the issue with my console freezing and speaking
with support I too checked the commerce site and it shows the card was redeemed but no money was credited. There was a also a support service alert yesterday soon after the issue occurred.

 

Im havimg the exact same issue and and the service alert was yesterday and I used a reedem code for a three month gold, and I still cant get on my xbox live. The message that keeps coming up says to update my payment when I had already used the redeem code.
Its just not working ive tried to see if I was putting in the code wrong but that wasnt the issue.
