Game or add-on you are having issues with: Psychonauts

Date you bought the content: February 19th, 2014

Purchased with points or credit card: Microsoft store card

Specific issue you are having: Game will not launch

Any error code or message you are receiving: The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again.

I followed the directions on the post and deleted the cache and redownloaded but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. If I cannot play this game I would like to request a refund.

Question on Transferring Save Games

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but it seems logical enough; ok, so I have a question on transferring save games from one machine to another.

Ok, say for argument sake, I was playing the 'Original' Xbox game 'Jet Set Radio Future' on my Xbox 360, however I decided that I no longer wished to play this Original Xbox game on my Xbox 360 due to some unfortunate reasons, and instead wished to continue
playing the game on my Original Xbox.

Now hypotetically, just say I was able to get that 'save game file' of JSRF off of my Xbox 360 and onto my Original Xbox, would that save game file work on the Original Xbox?

If it's an original Xbox 360 brand hard drive it shouldn't be having an issue playing the game. And the disk appears to be fine since it plays on your Xbox 360 S console.

Do you know anyone with an original Xbox 360 console like yours that would let you try Tony Hawk 3 on just to see if it works for that console? I'm just wondering if the issue is specific to your original Xbox 360 consoles, or multiple original Xbox 360 consoles.

What console and hard drive do you have?

Did the hard drive come with the console or was it purchased separately?

I own the Xbox 360 S 4gb Model. I purchased the hard drive separately. I believe its 320gb.

OK, and is the hard drive connected when you try playing the Original Xbox game?

Could you make sure that Psychonauts has been downloaded onto that storage device (the 320GB) and not the 4GB flash memory?

What you are describing sounds like a typical case of an unofficial or non-working hard drive. It is very likely that it is the culprit here.

Yes and yes. The hard drive is working so I guess the only possible answer left is that it is incompatible with my apparently unofficial drive. Thanks for the help, peace out XD

Hi, which model Xbox 360 E have you got, if it's the 4gb model without the official 250gb, 320gb or 500gb hard drive, then that will be why you cannot play that game. Xbox Originals games need an official xbox 360 hard drive to play.

Hello spedpickle, yes, the 360 supports it, but most original Xbox games will only run on 360 if they are installed on the original Xbox 360 internal HD.
