Discus and support Issue of downloading game from Xbox pass in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I just bought age of empires 2 definitive edition but fail to download it...     Issue of downloading game from Xbox pass


    I just bought age of empires 2 definitive edition but fail to download it...

    In the beginning I encounter starting issue and tired different ways using the game pass help and online sources, managing to get into the downloading stage by entering the following code using Powershell - Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers.

    However, the download stopped at 4% and didn't move on...the installing issue remains...

    I have tried different ways online like repair and reset the X box, Microsoft Store. Checked there are no updates available either on window, xbox and microsoft store.

    P.S I am using parallels desktop 17 for mac

    Cant install game

    Tried, but didn't work...

    By the way, i tried the following:

    • download exiting game (not game pass) from windows store, able to start the download
    • download game from Steam , able to start the download
    • download game from Epic, able to start the download
    • download game from Origin, able to start the download
    • download game from battle.net, able to start the download
    so to me it seems that only the xbox app is causing issues, is there a way to use the game pass without the xbox app? is there a way to download directly from the Windows store?

    Usually, after 5 days to a week, this type of issue gets fixed. Usually is this time frame.

    I have tried a free game “roblox” with size 226.57 mb and the download works ! Just take few seconds to complete.

    You're welcome mate.

    Try to restore your OS mate, it always works:

    Step 1: Click Update & security on the Settings page to continue.

    Step 2: Click Recovery and click Get Started on the right to continue.

    Step 3: Choose Keep my files to reset your PC.

    Step 4: Read the subsequent messages and click Reset.

    After the computer has restarted successfully, you have refreshed Windows 10.
