Issue launching gamepass game

I'm trying to play Final Fantasy XIII on PC through Gamepass. I've done 2 installs now and can't get it to launch, when I go to open it it launches the game and brings up the xbox sign ins 'Let's play' screen. The game then loads to its start screen and a second account sign in screen launches and if I click lets play the game crashes, if i cancel that second sign in the game tells me license failed. I'm at wits end because it seems to not grab the license from whatever server its trying to access. Anyone else have this issue?

I can't remove an the account because that is the account my whole PC is setup through. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the xbox app, signed in/signed out multiple times. This is the only game that doesn't load

Please try the following fixes.

Step 1

- Go to Xbox.com and click Sign In.

- If there are problems with your account, the instructions will help to resolve them. - If you can't go beyond the login screen, select Forgot my password and follow the instructions.

Step 2

- Click the Windows + I keys

- Click on Time and Language

- Under Date & Time, verify that the Set time automatically setting is turned on.

If the error still persists, try the next step.

Step 3

- Click the Windows + I keys

- Click on Accounts

- Browse to the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove.

- Then go back to Xbox app and reconnect with the Microsoft account you just removed.

I will do that! Though I'm sure this is a microsoft issue since they force the awful UWP format for game pass games.

I am having a similar issue to op,

I purchased minecraft xbox one edition when the digital copy first launched and then activated the free Minecraft game download when the “Play together” update was launched. I have been playing the game without issue since until earlier today the game shut
down and was prompted by the error below

“looks like you need to renew Xbox Gamepass

If your subscription is current, try quitting and relaunching the game. If you tried to launch this from a disc, check the disc -- it might be dirty or damaged. (0x803f800e)“

I own the game outside of gamepass and have not been subscribed to gamepass since December 2019.

I have hard reset my xbox, uninstalled the game and reset my xbox bit now the game is not showing in mu library.

tldr: minecraft will no longer work on my xbox due to a gamepass issue, game was owned long before using gamepass.
