Issue joining Minecraft

I play minecraft on xbox one with the game pass gold and it suddenly won't let me into the game. I've restarted my xbox and the game is still in my game catalog but it still won't let me join. Suggestions?

First, welcome to the Xbox community. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

This is happening because of the game version, Minecraft java edition can only be played between the following systems, Windows, Mac, and Linux, with that in mind you will not be able to play with your friend who is on Xbox as it is a different version of the game, which makes cross-platform between you two impossible.

If I may ask, what is the error message or the exact issue that you're experiencing whenever you're trying to get into the game?

some world are exclusive for the Xbox one but there some you can be part on the old console

Yes i did join the minecraft beta and i notice i couldn’t join my friends so i unsubscribed to the beta unistalled minecraft then when i tried installing it back i had issues which leads me to where im at now
