Issue Joining Minecraft Realm from Switch

I just set up a world in Minecraft Realms Plus and invited my son to join. When he goes to sign in from a Switch it tells him that his Microsoft settings will not allow him. He already is "allowed" on the Microsoft settings to play multiplayer games. What
else could be causing this error message? Appreciate the help.

I saw similar issues like this with one of my kids accounts. We needed to go in and allow Join Clubs for this to work. It was a little odd, but they were friends with the user, but could not join the Realm until we allowed access to join Clubs.

yeah she is already on 1.19.1 everyone is already updated.

My partner created a realm via PS4 and our friend who plays via the switch can connect fine no issue's its just the realm that I created via windows 10 that seems to be the issue.

Removed all resource packs etc - Same issues.

Re-installed minecraft on the switch - same issues.

Edit :

Activated an old realm world - Switch can join no issues.

Created new world realm - Switch joins no issues.

Re-activate the current world where original issue was - Issue still present.

Replaced old realm world with current world back up (june 7th update 1.19) - Issue present.

Replaced world realm with back up before june 7th update (1.18 then updated the realm to 1.19 before switch joins) - issue present.

To play online, you'll need xbox gold membership. For the Minecraft version i think you'll need the bedrock editon (which is the one for Xbox, windows 10 and Nintendo switch that just have "Minecraft" in the title (it doesn't say bedrock edition)) and
to join a realm you need to get an invite from the person that has created the realm

I can see that you can't join servers on your Minecraft Bedrock Nintendo Switch. Here are some possible solutions that you can try:

- Restart your console and your server.

- Make sure both your game/console and the server are fully updated.

- Change your secondary DNS from 8.8.8.8 to 1.1.1.1 or vice versa.

- Enable cross play in settings.
