Issue installing Minecraft Dungeons after moving to a new PC

Hello Opligam, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 22H2.

See which version of Windows 10 you have

Updates are often seen as optional.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

Another thing you can try is to install the game through the Microsoft App logging in with the same account that purchased the game.

Wow, I just updated Windows to 22H2 and it solved the issue.

I didn't do that before as I understood there is no real change in this update.

In her excitement my daughter installed Minecraft Dungeons on my WORK PC. she's had a whole heap of fun playing it, but it is now time to MOVE the game to her PC and let me get on with work.

TWO Parts;

- when I install Minecraft Dungeons on the New PC (via the windows store) it downloads and installs fine. HOWEVER as soon as she logs into her Microsoft/Xbox account we get the error "Unable to verify account ownership". at which point the only option
is to close the game.

- ASSUMING I can install the game on the NEW PC, I assume I can copy the Dungeons save directory from C:\Users\*Your User Name*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Lovika_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\Dungeons\ and all will be good... Of course step
1 is pretty critical.

I have tried reinstalling the game (on the new PC) no luck. I have tried (yet) another PC, no luck.

Any ideas?

Double check the account that was used when you first installed it onto your work pc, if its different to her account then it will have to be purchased again on her account to get it to work.

Its definitely the right account - I got caught out with the wrong account a week ago.

Windows key + i and go to apps, find Minecraft Dungeons, and uninstall.

Then open the Microsoft Store, search for Minecraft Launcher, install, log in with your Microsoft account, install Minecraft Dungeons. After that, you can play.
