Issue Installing Games from Disks

So I just received my Xbox One, and I immediately found a problem. When installing Halo 5 on the disk, near the end of installing it gets unusually slow (it starts around 75 percent). I have gone through every step, including restarting my console, taking
out the disk, canceling and restarting the installation, and turning off and on my internet. It always get to 75 percent in about 20 minutes, but from then on it goes about 20 minutes for one percent. Please help, or I might have just wasted hundreds of dollars.

Saints row audio problems

Might be an issue reading the audio from the disk. Have you tried installing the game to the Hard Drive?

Another update...

Turns out the other day when I was installing and having those issues it was downloading the game from the store for some reason and installing, that's why it said it was downloading files or what ever it said but it never said installing. I just uninstalled
ghost and put the disk back in to install and it started installing from the disk.

I talked to Microsoft again and they said the other day customers were having issues with installs and that is what was happening and they were telling people to unhook network cable so the game would install in offline mode from the disk.

So that is why the game was able to continue the install while the disk was out haha. Looks like they fixed that issue as its installing from the disk now and way quicker than it installed the other day.

Hey mate,

Best way to install games, is to do it offline when you install a game online, it will also download the update, and update the game at the same time as installing it, which is why it takes so long and can sometimes slow down.

What I do, and a lot of others, is install the game offline, then go online once its installed and update. Saves a lot of time.

So what you need to do, is cancel the current istnallation, then take the game out. Then, go offline by going into your settings, which you can find by going to the left side menu, scroll to the bottom and go into settings, then network settings, and then
go offline. Once you're offline insert the disc and let it install until its complete. Then, go back online and enter the game, at which point it will update.

That should save a bit of time for you and hopefully get it to 100% much quicker

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having issue installing a disk game. We recommend trying the

troubleshoot guide for installing disk game. Also, try installing the game on a friend console. Is this the only game that will not install?

What I found out is if it is the first installation from the disk (like you just bought the disk/installing the disk to the hard drive) the best thing to do is disconnect from internet, install the disk, once that is done, hook the one back to the internet
and do the update from the game.
