Issue creating Xbox Child Account

Success!

Logging into her Microsoft account directly on her device using the Minecraft app triggered the account creation for her XBox Account.

After completing this step and creating her account, I am now able to log into her account through xbox.com.

I still feel this is a bug on the Xbox website as the account creation method or some sort of resolution steps should be stated on the website for this exact scenario instead of

"We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found.

The URL may be misspelled or the page you're looking for is no longer available."

Now its time for my daughters and I to build away! (hehe...they don't know about building TNT cannons yet, I will security set up a few to destroy their bases! Muhahahahahahaha.....*ahem*)

Thanks for the quick reply.

The issue occurs when I am logged in with her Microsoft account and attempt to create her Xbox account. The error pops up after I have provided the credentials for the parent account.

I have performed this same test on the latest browsers I have: IE, Edge, FireFox, Chorme

I was able to reproduce the same error across all browsers.

What I have not tried yet is logging into Minecraft directly with her Microsoft account. This will be the next step I will preform.

My guess here is by doing this action, the Minecraft application installed on her device (or any device for that matter) "acts" like a xbox console, triggering the xbox account creation that will be tied to her Microsoft account.

Stand by for response on this test.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question and creating a new thread. Have you tried to sign into Xbox.com with your older daughters account? If you are able to, you will be directed to sign in with a parent account. When you do this definitely try
on your windows based PC. Also try different browsers. If you can try and sign into Minecraft on your PC with her account. Try these and let us know.

Are you able to create a new Child Account (again, a dummy account is fine)? That would mean your issue is with making a local profile into a child account, not create child accounts altogether. Let me know, thanks!
