Issue Accessing Modern Warfare II Campaign on Game Pass

I purchased gamepass specifically to play the Modern Warfare II campaign, which was recently advertised as being available. However, I am currently unable to access or play the campaign content.

If you are promoting the game as part of gamepass , I believe it is your responsibility to ensure that the content is playable. I kindly request that you coordinate with Activision or take the necessary steps to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

It is true that you should be able to access campaign and multiplayer. Now, if you are getting issues accessing the game's campaign and multiplayer this can be categorize into two: Xbox-related issue or in-game issue. To isolate this, we would like to ask for few questions and please provide us an answer:

Do you have issues playing other multiplayer games?
May we ask for a screenshot of the issue? Please conceal your personal information like username/gamertag, full name and email address.
May we ask if there is an error message on your Xbox Network? Please follow the steps below:
- Kindly go to Xbox Console's Settings.
- Select Network and Network Settings.
- Look for NAT Type and error message/code.
- Please reply with error message/code you notice or a screenshot.
- When did this issue happen?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're having issues playing Multiplayer and Campaign in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II from Game Pass.

Based on the information that you shared, this looks like a bug on this newly added title in Game Pass that is similar to this update from Call of Duty:

There is an existing thread where a workaround is shared and it worked for most of the users who had this issue. Please try it on your end until the proper patch is applied through the game.

Install DMZ, then Launch DMZ, and when you get in the part where it shows the connection screen with the MWII logo and all of that, cancel it, then retry and it should right after the connection show the MWII Main Menu with the Modes (MP, CO-OP and Campaign)

Is this happening only in Modern Warfare II?

I heard that this game is causing some performance issues on PC

If your problem is happening only there the best option is report this to Activision and wait for a new game update

Well the Modern Warfare series and Black Ops series are each trilogies. So I'd suggest start with the first when it comes to the campaign. I liked the actual Black Ops story better--its different and more unique, but when it comes to an overall enjoyable
campaign, I like the Modern Warfare games the best.

Modern Warfare trilogy:

1. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

2. Modern Warfare 2

3. Modern Warfare 3

Black Ops trilogy:

1. Call of Duty: World at War (prequel)

2. Black Ops

3. Black Ops II (Nov. 2012 release)

You do not understand the issue, you have to understand that there is modern warfare (not free) and modern warfare war zone (free)

For those who have a physical version, we can't access the original modern warfare campaign and other stuff from the main game that we purchased, we can only access modern warfare war zone, everytime we try to play the original modern warfare and not modern
warfare war zone it tell us that we have to purchase it. Even though we had paid for the physical version already.
