    The question says it all. I thought the purpose of getting ride of Xbox family was so that children can play and be monitored on my main xbox account. So from what I can tell they can play but not with their friends online. Is this the way it is supposed
    to work?

    I can't seem to let my child play online. I went to settings, but my child account isn't there. My child really wants to play online. Do you need Xbox Live Gold to play online? Can someone please help me?

    0x876c0002 error. Cannot pin games or apps

    When I try to pin games or apps to the home screen I get the error 0x876c0002. I am the parent account. My child can pin with his account on the same xbox one. The only advice I have been able to find is to check network connections, do a hard reset on the console, and power cycle my router.

    Is anyone else found a solution to this issue? One thread eluded that it might be that I am using two-step authentication on my xbox live account.

    Thanks in advance. This has been going on since purchase last month. Meaning I have never been able to pin, but my son has.

    Also, if there are no gold accounts on either Xbox, they may not be able to play online. If there's one gold account and one of the xbox ones is set as a home console, there is a way to share gold on two consoles at once.

    First, log out of the gold account on the home console, and allow child account number one to log in there. That account will be able to log into and access online multiplayer so that the kids can play together due to the shared gold feature of a home console.
    Then, on the second xbox one, log into both the gold account and the second child account. Then use the second child account to log into the game. You should be able to use gold in that way on that console as long as the gold account is logged in.

    Hi there,

    depending on the console you are on. If you are on a Xbox One console (and the kids are on the same console) then you should also be able to share your subscription via the Home console setting.

    That will allow the child accounts to benefit from your Gold subscription and play online via that Home console.

    If they are playing on multiple Xbox One consoles then they will need a Gold subscription per child account.

    Regarding the question regarding the child account having a subscription, your passkey (and family settings) and how that will work will remain unchanged regarding what account has a Gold subscription.

    On the Xbox One, if your account has Xbox Live and you set it as the home, then any account that signs in on that console should also have access to Xbox Live.

    If you are not sure whether the child account is picking up the subscription, then you could try signing into their account and trying to play any online game / mode.
