Isn't it Time We had an Elric of Melnibone game

Michael Moorcock's doomed anti hero Elric set the stage for grittier fantasy. there are easter eggs in The Elder Scrolls referencing him and his Runeblade Stormbringer. the look of Geralt of Rivia is almost identical to Elric (apart from the height and the
eyes) and Elric was known as the White Wolf first.

the world of Elric is also well mapped out with numerous cultures and civilisations as well as a rich pantheon of gods.

and then there is the concept that Elric is an incarnation of the Eternal Champion and all the other worlds and times he manifests in.

there is so much rich source material there, I wonder why no-one has tried it.

even if this game never gets proposed, I hope it inspires some to have a read of the Elric saga and/or the chronicles of the other incarnations of the Eternal Champion

Haven't heard that name in ages. Michael Moorcock is a favourite author of mine. I had all his books at one stage but kept lending them out to friends who never returned them or "loaned" them to others.

The "Eternal Champion" isn't that a D&D thing? I swear I've heard that before somewhere.

that sounds very much like the Chronicles of Elric of Melnibone and the Eternal Champion multiverse by Michael Moorcock.

an heroic spirit incarnated in each universe when (s)he is needed most.

so many linked heroes and so many adventures, there is plenty there for a studio to build a long lasting franchise.
