Is "Xbox Play Anywhere" Working?

I see conflicting reports saying that it's already in effect and others saying not until September. I own a few games that are on the compatible list (Ark and We Happy Few) but don't know how to find them or get them to work on my Windows 10 PC other than
streaming them. Is it only because these games are still Early Access and haven't been added to the list, yet? I've tried searching through the Windows Store and the Xbox Store and can't find any info on "Xbox Play Anywhere" other than to have the app and
actual console updated which I've done. Any help would be nice. Thanks!

On a side note, will the games be downscaled on PC? For instance, if I buy a game that's 900p 30fps on console, will the PC version be locked to that as well, or take advantage of my PC and be able to play the same settings as if I bought it on Steam?

no, you do not need an xbox for Play Anywhere games. yes, you will need to buy it digitally, and you will need to play with your gamertag on a Windows 10 PC.

Hi all,

I am really looking forward to the release of the game Recore, I looked into the game and decided that i wanted to pre order it. The only thing that keeps me back is that it says that it has "Xbox play anywhere". I am only interested in playing it on my
desktop since i don't own a xbox one, can you buy/ play the game solely on computer or do you need to own a Xbox one console.

If you don't require a Xbox one in order to buy and play the game, do you have to buy the game in the microsoft store since i can't find physical copies of the game for computer.

(I do own a xbox 360 but i don't use it actively and it doesnt have an xbox live gold subscription)
