Is Xbox one even worth it?

^another U turn by Ooh I'm good, only last week you were the Ones biggest fan, singing it's praises on here.

 

I listened to the hate, and hated, I bought one and it wasn't as bad as I expected, but having spent an afternoon on my mates PS4 it really has hit home.

I'm not saying the xbone is rubbish, I'm just saying if I have the choice to play a console game at 720p@30fps or 1080p@60fps I may aswell go 1080p@60fps.

An in the last few days seeing Microsft saying they're "sure" that overtime more games will hit 1080p on the Xbone but yet they already are hitting that on the PS4 it does not breed confidence. Yeah they will get to grips with xbone and get more form, but
they will also get to grips from PS4 and get ore from that.

 

Wolfenstien is 1080 60fps on both systems, so it's not a s if the One can't perform. It's for developers to get Their heads round it.

 

For me I am more than happy that I bought an xbox one, I think that it is a great system. Lots of things have been said about both consoles.

If your not sure, then don't buy it, wait and see what comes out.

I for one would rather have a game that was fun to play, than worry about which system it runs on 1080P or 720P, as I don't think that there is anyone that is capable of telling the difference when they are playing.

You just need to make the decision that is right for you.

@Genchy.... You know how they're getting it to run at 1080p/60fps don't you?

 

I have both and they are both great pieces of kit. I have played far more on my One than PS4 but that's just due to limited time.

I think you won't be disappointed whichever you choose, but as others have said pick the one that has the exclusives you like and which machine your friends have.

If you're not sure wait awhile and continue to enjoy your 360

 

Have to say from my experience the Kinect on XB1 is no fail

 

I would say you'd be better off asking this question in a more neutral discussion board as you are very likely to get responses strongly biased towards the xbone here on an official Microsoft forum.

If you look at the reviews and performance of next gen games so far on both consoles I think it's obvious which one is performing better already.

 

Having HAD an XB1 I'd say no.

 

It's very easy to say no but I have no regrets in buying my One, although the question posed is more likely to be a rhetorical one. If you don't own a One already it's probably due to price or lack of games released for it then I would say wait because unless
I'm looking in wrong places there's only Trials Fusion and Watchdogs coming out between now and August which really stand out and they're multiformat!

But hey, you go with the naysayers and go get yourself a PS4 with its fancy fandangly 1080p 60fps visuals and it's amazing games library and the awesome arthritis inducing control pad if it makes you feel better! The One is now pretty much on par price wise
now and you get Titanfall, Kinect and the most comfortable pad ever made to use. Not to mention other great exclusive titles like Forza, Dead Rising, Killer Instinct and Ryse.

My only gripe is the lack of forthcoming titles but that's just short-term and I have my 360 to fall back on during these lean times. I'd love to play Infamous Second Son though!!!

 

To add to what I said before ..

If "Visuals" really are your thing then maybe forget about either console and go for a PC?

As we know there's been enough articles about games struggling to hit 1080 on XB1 but lets not forget not every PS4 game is 1080, and there's a few that are have been reported to have a few frame rate issues.

If it has to be a console though, I will still say go with the one that has the games for you, released or yet to be released. There's a decent selection of multiplatforms out/coming out so what consoles exclusives do you like the look of most? Where's most
of your friends? what controller suits you best.

From "my" own experience though, I will say if it's mostly about multiplayer gaming for you then seriously consider Xbox One, for me Xbox LIVE is head and shoulders above PSN, again from my own experience.

When I say Xbox LIVE is head and shoulders above PSN, I mean for overall performance/stability.

For value for money though, being a PS+ member you get some fantastic value for money with the titles they offer you at no extra cost. Hopefully Microsoft will do something about this as time goes on.

Well, I bought my PS4 this afternoon and I still have my XBOXONE. I got the second son bundle.

So, now I know I get the best of all worlds, Happy gaming folks.

EDIT, Go to the live chat on Game.co.uk an they will tell you if your local Game has PS4 stock or when its due, they will also tell you how Xbone is avalible right now lol. YES WE KNOW Xbone is constantly in stock everywhere all the time lol.
