Is Xbox One Controller of Poor Quality?

I've had the same controller for 8 years and it still works like a champ.

 

That's a long time to have an Xbox one controller bizarro. Did you go forward in time to get it and then go back?

 

I have four controllers all with no problems and I'm clumsy(all my 360 controllers ended with at least one broke bumper from being dropped its sad I need wrist straps or something).

 

my thread got locked so be careful when talking about xbox (i think their in the walls)

 

as far as broken hardware goes.... my disc tray is broke, my controller is the same (drifts upwards and right is nearly completely broken) and i'm on my 2nd headset. i'm ridiculously careful with all my gadgets and short of wrapping them in bubble wrap i
don't know what i could have done to protect them better :/

 

Bizzaro lives in NZ, that's why she's in the future (since NZ is ahead time wise with all other countries).

Just be careful not to throw it at your HDTV's screen.

It does feel kind of fragile but it's held together after lots of drops and throws on the carpet floor. Same for my controller which came with my Xbox 360 slim console when I first joined Xbox, although that controller has a little rust developing on the
Guide button and some grease residue which has lasted up to 3 years it's I eat when I play. My Xbox 1 controller has no grease on the controller, so it must be a better build design.

 

haven't encountered any problems yet. the ps4 controller to me seems to be better.

 

Eww, I bet your controllers are like My kids controllers.... All sticky with...er... Stuff on them. When my lad asks me to have ago on a game with him, I always take my own controller now lol.

 

I have 3 controllers ..2 of them have the infamous drift(both left stick) and they also stick due to the grooves...

The day one is unusable now..B button sticks and left stick drifts!

The thumb sticks themselves are literally going to snap off one day due to the grooves being cut into them..I posted this vid before but it seems nobody else has this issue.

 

I don't like sharing my controller with anyone. I have a guest controller. When they're done I sanitize it with an anti-bacterial wipe.

 

why not just boil it bizarro...heard that kills germs even better. On a side note, yes these controllers are obviously of cheaper made quality. They went cheap around the seals of the back of the handles, instead of screws holding them like previously
they are now just snapped into place it seems...my day one controller has had a problem with the back of the right handle feeling loose and moving around more then it should. To answer the question frankly, yes they're made quite cheaply and probably by some
poor 12 year old kid in a factory in Taiwan. Ms should bring jobs back to the USA to get good quality products made, good quality control, and good American paychecks going to keep the money in our country...yes they would have to sacrifice some of their
billions in profits every year...oh darn if it shouldnt be all about profits and giving back to the country that supports you the most to keep money in said country.

 

@Bizarro. Same here, I don't like anyone touching my controller either.... Dont want no one's sticky germs lol.

 

I would pay double for American made products but thats just me.

 

ya well it shouldnt always be on the end consumer, the tired old excuse about companies would charge double for american product maybe somewhat true but is played out (they just want the same profits for having to pay a good higher standard living wage for
their people instead of just taking healthy profits and giving back)...it should be some of those profits going back to the community so everyone thrives...not just keeping the same profits by charging double while employees are paid minimum wage, and kept
in "part time" status so they have no benefits.

 

So from what I gather, it seems that day one builds have this problem?
