    I recently purchased tv tuner for Xbox one and it works great! I found a lot of channels from my rooftop antenna! My question is will it record live tv now or maybe in the future.

    Xbox One TV tuner record live tv?

    Planning on getting an Xbox one and was wondering if Microsoft are ever going to release a software update for the xbox one to be able to record live tv? If so, I will be buying my xbox one now!

    Allow users to record gameplay and voice seamlessly with the Xbox One DVR

    Users of the Xbox one system should be able to record their own voice irrespective of them being in a Xbox live party or not. Simply allowing people to record their gameplay and voice means recording gameplay is easy. Not only would this mean Xbox games
    are promoted through people uploading gameplay on YouTube and Facebook but people won't record with their party applications. Overall allowing users to record their voices makes it easier for all users but also it makes it affordable. This feature should have

    DVR for Live TV has been a planned feature for Xbox One for quite some time, but I think Microsoft has put that feature on an indefinite hold, according to various sources online.

    For Over-the-air (OTA) programming, there is a third-party app called "Tablo" that allows recording, but I believe you'll need a USB external hard drive to record (it won't do it on the Xbox's internal drive, for some reason). You can read

    It depends what kind of tv tv have and whether you have an external harddrive attached to the TV that can record the programme onto it. If you have a smart tv for example then you will be able to record live tv and programmes onto a usb or harddrive,
    but if you want to record tv tving just your xbox then you can record game footage and videos but watching live tv is currently not an option unless you have a smart tv. Sorry, hope this helps you out and all the best.

    Are you wanting to record shows from the TV, or gameplay?

    If it's gameplay, you would need an external video capture device and software to record the gameplay.

    If it's TV programs, no. Live TV cannot be recorded from an Xbox One.

    Sorry but you cannot record live TV from the Xbox One using DVR. You can only use the DVR to record Xbox One video games.

    with the xbox one you will be able to record gameplay straight from your xbox and be able to upload it to youtube or twitich tv. hope that helps :D
