Is Xbox Live required to connect via the Win10 App?

I've been streaming just fine for months but my credit card expired and I just forgot to switch it - so Live subscription expired. About a week later, my PCs can no longer find my Xbox one even with the IP Address. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling
the xbox app. Smartglass and streaming are enabled. Running Win 10 on a couple Alienwares. Thanks

can not use minecraft pocket edition connect to win10 edition by xbox live

i can not use minecraft pocket edition connect to win10 edition by xbox live

either win10 edition connect to pocket edition

i can connected them to same world when two device were in same LAN

but when both connected different LAN, it just fail when the game loading

and i'm sure both device were connecting to xbox live when i playing game

so what's the problem could be...?

Xbox One S Controller: Games stutter on Win10

When I connect my Xbox One S Controller via Bluetooth, games start to stutter on my Win10 PC altough they run smoothley when the controller in connected via USB. I read that a similiar problem existed with a certain driver and the original XBox One Controller.

May it have something to do with using a 165hz Monitor?

Hi Old Man Willow, yes Xbox Live is required for the Xbox App requires a user to sign in to an account. Please try using Xbox App Beta to see if your are experiencing the same issue. If the issue continues please use the "report a problem" by clicking
the happy face on left NAV bar in the beta version of the app. In the mean time I will call this out in our reports to the developers requesting an investigation.

To download the beta version go to the store on your PC and search for "Xbox App Beta".

Confirmed, Zepp XO's fix worked for me as well. I had a system message from xbox live from 11/18 and deleted via smartglass for iOS. Now my xbox app for win10 opens up messages like a champ!

I've tried via web, via mobile app and via Windows 10 Xbox app.

Web give me the error in this thread.

Mobile App - No purchase button appears

Win10 App - No purchase button appears

The only route I have not yet attempted is via the console itself as my console is in for repairs.

Been having similar problems with the achievements not synching on the Win10 version nor unlocking when the requirement was met. Just finished the WP version of the game, but now the Win10 app is broken the game won't log me in at all.

Its actually a problem with the Xbox Live synchronisation I believe, because I also have problem with the Xbox-App itself and unfortunatly the MInecraft Win10 Version demands a connection to my Xbox-Account for playing online.

Is Xbox Live required to connect via the Win10 App?
